Close Protection and Facilities Officer

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the safety and security of media personnel, equipment, and locations
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing security plans
  • Responding quickly and effectively to threats or emergencies
  • Providing physical protection to high profile individuals and public figures
  • Maintaining situational awareness to detect and deter potential threats at the studio site
  • Maintaining confidentiality and discretion regarding client information and movements
  • Media back-watching with reporters and camera crew on location. Willingness to deploy at short notice

Skills / Experience

  • Level 3 Close Protection Qualification
  • Level 3 First Person On Scene (FPOS) or Level 3 First Responder Emergency Care (FREC)
  • SIA Close Protection Licence
  • Previous Military/Police experience desirable
  • Experience working with high profile/celebrity clients
  • Excellent communication Skills
  • Excellent Situational Awareness

Other 

  • DBS Check up to date
  • Willingness to carry out facilities tasks at the studio site as and when required. This will not impact on your protective posture or the security of the site.
  • Ability to interact confidently and professionally with a wide range of people.
  • Customer-facing presence and attitude when working at studio site
