Role summary:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Camera Operator to join our fast-paced and growing team at GB News. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in broadcasting, with a strong interest in camera work, field operations, and outside broadcasts.

Key responsibilities and main tasks:

· Assist camera operators with day-to-day production and filming tasks

· Manage and maintain the camera storeroom, ensuring all equipment is organised and functional

· Support London-based deployments and major outside broadcasts (OBs)

· Assist in large-scale event setups where camera support is required

· Build and maintain a centralised database to track all camera equipment

· Liaise with the Engineering team to ensure all LiveU units are maintained and up to date

Required Skills & Experience

· A degree relevant to broadcasting, media production, or a related field

· Strong interest in camera equipment and live production environments

· Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced setting

· Good organisational and communication skills

· Ability to work flexible hours, including on-location assignments

Desirable Skills (Optional but Beneficial)

· Basic understanding of camera systems and broadcast equipment

· Familiarity with outside broadcast workflows

· Experience with equipment tracking or inventory systems
